OM - Welcome to my yoga page I am Jenny and I would like to share a bit about me.
I started my first yoga class in Sri Lanka with my yoga teacher Lyndon Mason in 2005 at the Yoga Center in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka. I am passionate about yoga the more I practised the more I became aware of the benefits.
Change in personal circumstances made me come back home to UK. I took my Yoga Teacher Training Course at The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, Putney, London and graduated as a Yoga Siromani "Teacher of Yoga" this was a life changing experience for me and in return I wanted to give back all that I have learned to others.
My training included:-
Hatha Yoga - Ethical and moral principles
Raja Yoga - Concentration and meditation
Kundalini Yoga - The awakening of cosmic energy,
Bhakti Yoga - chanting of classical Sanskrit mantras
Karma Yoga - Selfless service
Jnana Yoga - the basic concepts of Vedanata Philosophy
Bhagavad Gita - study of text and the commentary of classical yoga scriptures
Yoga taught me self discipline made me aware of myself; appreciate what life has to offer, to think positively and overall peace and happiness.
To know what yoga is all about you have to actually do it. Yoga can be practised by anyone - no special clothing or equipments are required - you will only need a little space and a strong desire for healthier fulfilled life. Regular practise of yoga asana (postures), proper breathing known as pranayama will alleviate stress and tension revitalizing the body and help to control the mind making you feel calm, refreshed and youthful.
